Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Didn't appeal to my kids - ages 2 & 4 Comment: I bought the cd's first. When I first played the book 1, my 2 kids (ages 2 & 4) didn't show too much interest in listening. So I thought maybe with the books, they would show interest. So I bought the books 1-4. As soon as I receive the books, I sat with them, read with them (translate the words, too - we are bi-lingual). I was a bit disappointed because there were less pictures that I expected. They showed interest at first, but they got bored later on. Don't get me wrong, they were great stories. Maybe the text in the book were too much, and not have enough pictures. Or maybe my kids were too young and didn't understand much. I saved the books and cd, and I'm planning to give it to a 6 year old cousin. Customer Rating: Summary: amazing! Comment: I originally got one of the stories from a Wendy's kids meal. My daughters, 2 and 5, loved listening to it in the car so much that I decided to buy more. It makes running errands and the drive to grandma's sooo much better. The Wendy's CD also had a song from Magic Tree House the Musical. My 2 year old would ask for "the pirate song" over and over again so I bought that CD as well. They LOVE it. So I recommend that too for any MTH fans out there. Customer Rating: Summary: best gift ever Comment: I usually just read reviews, not write them but I thought this warranted the time. We bought this for our five year old daughter for Christmas last year. She liked them but my three year old son has gone nuts over them! He will listen to them everyday for hours at a time. He can even recite parts of them. It's amazing. He loves all of the adventures. I must say, I haven't gotten tired of them either which I can't say of most kid CDs. Mary Pope Osbornes voice is quite calm and soothing. I highly recommend these CDs. They are great for nap time or quiet time. I just ordered the next two sets for him for his birthday and Christmas. I hope he likes them as much as the originals. Customer Rating: Summary: My 4 yr old LOVES these!!!!!! Comment: Granted my 4 yr old is a book-aholic, but these are by far her favorite! She will listen to these in one sitting if I will let her. We checked them out at the library and inside of 2 weeks, we listened to them 5 times. Needless to say, I decided she needed her own set, so she will be getting this and books 9-16 for christmas. Oh and by the way, this is a great price.
